Blessed are they who mourn, they will be comforted... |
When a loved one has died, very often family doesn’t know where to turn, who to talk to, or what steps to take in planning a funeral. The following should help ease the process.
If you have general questions about funerals, you may call the parish office and ask for Judy Walsh.
Once you have contacted and/or met with our pastoral team, they will assist you in completing the Funeral Mass planner.
- If you have a funeral home selected, call them when the death has occurred.
- If you desire to have a Catholic funeral, call the parish next and speak with a priest to schedule the funeral. Availability of the priest and the church will help to determine date and time for the funeral.
- Once the date is scheduled, family will meet with the priest and/or pastoral associate to plan the readings, the music, and other details of the funeral Mass. There will also be a meeting arranged separately with the funeral home.
