As members of the Body of Christ, we are called to worship, witness, and service. All parishioners of the Church of Saint Gregory are encouraged to respond to that call through involvement in ministry.
Lectors proclaim God's Word at liturgies. The ability to read well and to proclaim the Word effectively with clarity and energy are imperative skills. Initial and on-going training sessions are expected. [teens; adults]
EXTRAORDINARY MINISTER OF HOLY COMMUNION
Communion Ministers assist in the distribution of the Body and Blood of Christ, the bread and wine, serving the community with prayerful reverence and dignity. Training sessions for all new to this ministry are required. [adults]
Altar servers assist the priest and deacon at Mass by serving at the altar. We welcome both youth (grade 4 and older) and adult altar servers. Training is provided. [youth; teens; adults]
Hospitality Ministers are the faces and hands of welcome at each Mass. Greeting our parishioners and friends, distributing worship aides, and assisting with seating, collections, and communion lines are just some of the many ways hospitality ministers make our experiences of worship welcoming and hospitable.
